Boracay

It is said that Boracay is the most crowded beach resort in the Philippines, the most popular and the most remarkable beach because of its fine and white sand. So my boyfriend and I decided to visit Boracay (December 2008).

GETTING THERE

Reaching the beautiful island was easy. We took a ferry (Cokaliong Shipping Lines) from Maasin to Cebu.
Cost :
P350.00/pax- Economy class
P490.00/pax- Tourist class
P900.00/pax- Cabin

Afterwards, we took a flight through Cebu Pacific www.cebupacificair.com from Cebu City to Caticlan. We reached the Caticlan Airport with a lot of guys waiting for passengers to take their van for a ride from the airport to the port of Caticlan. The fare was pretty expensive (overcharged). We decided to walk from the airport to the dock (10-15 minutes).

Port Fee: P50.00/person
Environmental Fee: P50.00/person
Boat Fee: P50.00/person

From the port in Boracay, we took a tricycle to reach Station II where our hotel was located (SUR: P4,000+)---Peak season- December.

Boracay Island encompass:
D' Mall
Wet and Dry Market
Souvenir Shop
Restaurants
Hotels

There are bunch of restaurants in Boracay. Indian Cuisine to Filipino cuisine, Mexican, name it! You can have any kind of food you like!

I really had fun in the island. I wish I would be able to visit again in Boracay in the near future...
